Careers training at United Guarding

All our staff receive induction training when they first join the company. This covers an overview of the business, mission statements, company organisation, company rules, health and safety, equal opportunities and diversity policies, environmental policy, and grievance and disciplinary policies. Further training will then be determined by the employee’s role within the organisation.

Before security officers can be deployed to any client’s premises, they must be issued with a valid SIA licence for the type of work that they are undertaking. They must also have the appropriate NVQ Level 2 qualification.

• Level 2 NVQ in Providing Security Services – Events Security
• Level 2 NVQ in Providing Security Services – Door Supervision
• Level 2 NVQ in Providing Security Services – Retail Security
• Level 2 NVQ in Providing Security Services – Reception Security
• Level 2 NVQ in Providing Security Services – CCTV Operation

Once a Security Officer is deployed, they will receive onsite induction training which is recorded. This training is carried out by an experienced member of staff, overseen by the manager responsible for the client. During this training the officer will be given a clear understanding of the client’s requirements, a thorough grounding in emergency procedures, including Health and Safety and on-site risk assessments.
